Great Start to Quality is a Michigan Based program that helps families find and select the right child care or pre-k for their needs. Use their search tool to find licensed preschool programs in your area that meets your needs.

Northwest Michigan Free Preschool Options Application

Use this application to learn about and apply for state and federally funded programs in the Grand Traverse area, like GSRP, Early Head Start and Head Start, designed to provide high-quality early learning at no cost to eligible families. Once you submit this application, a staff member from Northern Michigan Community Action Agency will contact you.

Michigan Free PreSchool Information

Michigan offers two free preschool programs to eligible families – Head Start and the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP). The Great Start to Quality website describes these programs, helps you search for the programs in your area, and connects you to the relevant application form.
