Find Food – Grand Traverse County

The Northwest Food Coalition proves locations and times of available food pantries. Several of these pantries also offer meal services.

Community Connections – Personal Support

Community Connections is a free program in Northern Michigan that provides assistance connecting adults, children, and families to the resources they need including food and food supports. Services are provided with supportive phone calls, office visits, and home visits by a community health worker, nurse, and/or social worker.

Michigan 211: Search for Food and Food Supports

MI211 allows you to search for a variety of emergency food supports and resources near you. Look for food pantries, meal services, and food purchasing supports.

Grand Traverse Baby Pantry

This Facebook Group provides updates on the Grand Traverse Baby Pantry, which provides a variety of resources including baby formula and food for families.

MI Bridges Food Assistance Program

Michigan’s food assistance program, also known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or SNAP, provides benefits to low-income families to supplement their grocery budget. Visit MI Bridges to apply for food assistance, check eligibility status and manage your account.

Michigan Sun Bucks

Michigan Summer EBT is a program to help families buy food for their school-aged children during the summer. Families will get money for each eligible child to buy groceries during the summer. Children who get Michigan Summer EBT can still participate in other summer meal programs.

Women, Infant & Children (WIC) – Grand Traverse

The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program is a supplemental food and nutrition education program to help families lead healthy lives. Provided by the Grand Traverse County Health Department, eligible families with children up to the age of five can receive personalized nutrition plans, breastfeeding support, referrals to healthcare providers, education, support, and resources, and healthy foods.
